Travel Hospital Pharmacist | Colby, Wisconsin

This travel pharmacist position offers the opportunity to work in a 75-bed hospital located in Medford, WI, supporting a diverse patient population across multiple departments. The assignment begins ASAP and lasts for at least 13 weeks, providing valuable hands-on experience in both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services.

Schedule:

• Primarily 10-hour day shifts
• Weekend shifts rotate with 8-hour hours
• Focus on daytime coverage

Responsibilities include managing a busy inpatient pharmacy with multiple concurrent tasks such as verifying medication orders through EPIC, checking pharmacy technician work, and responding to pharmacist calls. You will provide pharmaceutical care for an inpatient census averaging 30-40 patients, including those in Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, emergency department, and outpatient oncology units. Duties also include preparing and dispensing inpatient and outpatient IV medications, unit dose meds, and outpatient chemotherapy.

Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist licensure with hospital pharmacy experience
• Comfortable working with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations, including oncology and chemotherapy preparation
• Strong communication and clinical skills within interdisciplinary hospital teams
