Position OverviewThis is a full-time position on the Day Shift, featuring an enhanced sign-on bonus of $20,000 (distributed over a two-year agreement). Our facility is recognized with Magnet (With Distinction) designation and has received the Prism Award for excellence in medical-surgical care. We boast a 4-star patient satisfaction rating, an A+ from Leapfrog, and the Baldridge Award. Our 28-bed post-surgical unit focuses on medical-surgical care with telemetry services, and we are expanding to better serve the communities of Hiram, Dallas, Powder Springs, Douglasville, Marietta, Villa Rica, Rockmart, and surrounding areas.
Role of the RN Clinical NurseThe RN Clinical Nurse plays a vital role as part of a collaborative team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers, ensuring that patients, families, and significant others receive personalized, high-quality, and safe care. This role operates within a clinical setting managed by Nurse Managers and other leaders, supported by our Shared Governance Model. The practice framework is guided by our Professional Practice Model and evidence-based research. RN competencies are aligned with these models and reflect our organizational values.
All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and adhere to the nursing practices outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, implementing the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics as established by the American Nurses Association. As part of the patient services team, it is essential to advocate for the patient's voice while adhering to system policies and striving for service excellence.

Exemplary Practice and Outcomes:
- Utilizes the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver clinical care based on evidence-based practices, employing analytical and critical thinking to ensure individualized care.
- Delivers patient-centered care that respects population-specific characteristics (age, gender, disease, etc.) and adapts service delivery to acknowledge cultural diversity.
- Engages with patients and significant others appropriately, utilizing methods such as bedside shift reports and interdisciplinary rounds to keep them informed and focused on their care goals.
- Adheres to current clinical practice standards.

- Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care, promoting a professional care delivery model through inclusive interdisciplinary communication.
- Exhibits teamwork by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner that encourages the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
- Engages in performance improvement initiatives, supporting all stakeholders and participating in shared governance at all levels.

- Completes all required initial and ongoing competency assessments and mandatory education.
- Acts as a preceptor or mentor for other nurses and staff to ensure a qualified workforce and foster a healthy work environment.

- Advocates for evidence-based practice and nursing research, participating in value analysis for patient care product evaluation.
- Complies with all organizational policies, procedures, and clinical competencies, ensuring adherence to legal and accreditation standards.
- Engages in data collection and formulates relevant clinical questions to enhance evidence-based practice.

- Plans proactively for patient care across the continuum while providing direct care.
- Contributes to the development of protocols and procedures in collaboration with care managers and the healthcare team.
- Ensures efficient use of human and material resources.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Compliance with all organizational policies, work standards, and the code of conduct is expected.
Qualifications-
Education:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (Single State or Multi-state Compact) required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.

Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience is required.

- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; basic computer skills are essential.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, along with excellent customer service abilities.
