Job Opportunity: Associate Program Director - OBGYN Residency Program

Our organization is currently seeking an Associate Program Director for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program. In this role, you will work closely with the Program Director, contributing to the overall leadership and management of the residency program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Create and sustain a supportive atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Recruitment and Retention: Lead initiatives aimed at attracting and retaining both residents and faculty members.
  • Evaluation Processes: Develop, implement, and oversee the evaluation systems for residents.
  • Address Concerns: Respond to issues raised by residents and medical students.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to the policies and procedures set forth by the Sponsoring Institution.
  • Clinical Practice: Actively engage in clinical practice and report to the Chief Medical Director of Women's Health.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of Graduate Medical Education (GME) experience is required.
Facility Overview

Our facility is a tertiary teaching hospital with 240 acute care beds, situated in Lansing, Michigan, adjacent to the Michigan State University campus. The hospital transitioned to a modern healthcare facility on March 6, 2022. Key services include:

  • A Level III Designated Trauma Center and Emergency Department
  • An Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute
  • Comprehensive cardiac programs
  • Advanced women and children's health services, including a state-of-the-art birthing center

Residency Programs

Our residency programs are affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and the Statewide Campus System. We offer various residency programs, including:

  • Family Medicine
  • Internal Medicine
  • Orthopedic Surgery
  • General Surgery
  • Anesthesiology
  • Obstetrics/Gynecology

Fellowships are available in cardiology, hematology/oncology, gastroenterology, and pulmonary critical care. Additionally, we participate in city-wide residency programs in emergency medicine, neurology, urology, psychiatry, and physical rehabilitation medicine.
