This travel opportunity calls for an experienced pharmacist ready to provide comprehensive pharmacy services in a small 40-bed hospital setting. Located in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, this role involves supporting both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy needs within a diverse clinical environment. The hospital’s inpatient census typically ranges from 30-40 patients across multiple departments including Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, ED, and outpatient oncology and surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage several responsibilities simultaneously within the central inpatient pharmacy, including verifying EPIC orders, reviewing technician work, and responding to pharmacist queries.
  • Prepare and dispense inpatient and outpatient IV medications, inpatient unit dose meds, and outpatient chemotherapy.
  • Support pharmacy operations for inpatient and outpatient surgery, medical-surgical units, OB/GYN, ICU, emergency department, and oncology services.
  • Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with hospital protocols and pharmacy standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with current credentials to practice in Wisconsin.
  • Experience working in a hospital pharmacy with knowledge of inpatient and outpatient medication management.
  • Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with healthcare teams and supporting pharmacy technicians.

Schedule:

  • 4x 10-hour day shifts per week (7:00 am to 5:00 pm), including rotating weekends.
  • Flexibility to work a blocked schedule option of 7 days on, 7 days off.
