\nLonestar Electric Supply and its subsidiaries are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist I to support day-to-day accounts payable functions and ensure accurate, timely processing of vendor payments. This role focuses on transaction-level AP tasks, invoice processing, and reconciliation while supporting the broader accounting team. The Accounts Payable Specialist I reports directly to the Controller and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records.
\n\nResponsibilities:
\n• Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
\n • Enter invoices into the ERP system and ensure proper coding and documentation.
\n • Compare and verify vendor statements against entries in the ERP system.
\n • Assist with reconciling monthly statements and resolving basic discrepancies.
\n • Manage Accounts Payable inboxes and respond to routine vendor inquiries via email and phone.
\n • Support vendor payment processing, including verification of documentation and purchase orders.
\n • Assist with maintaining accounting records and ledgers related to accounts payable.
\n • Record, verify, and distribute petty cash as assigned.
\n • Maintain organized and accurate AP documentation and files.
\n • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
\n• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
\n • 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting support, or a related role.
\n • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
\n • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
\n • Ability to learn and work within accounting and ERP systems.
\n • Experience with Eclipse ERP or the electrical distribution industry a plus.
\n • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and integrity.
\n • Reliable, dependable, and able to meet deadlines in a structured environment.
Physical Requirements:
\n• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
\n • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally.
