A travel opportunity is available for a pharmacist seeking to work in a hospital setting within a 75-bed facility. This assignment offers a dynamic environment where you will play a critical role in patient care across multiple hospital departments.

Location: Medford, WI
Position Type: Travel
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks +
Schedule:

  • Primarily 10-hour day shifts
  • Occasional weekend rotations with 8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a central inpatient pharmacy, including verifying EPIC medication orders, reviewing work completed by pharmacy technicians, and responding to pharmacist phone inquiries
  • Prepare and provide inpatient and outpatient intravenous medications, inpatient unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy treatments
  • Support patient care across a diverse inpatient census averaging 30-40 patients and services such as inpatient/outpatient surgery, medical/surgical units, obstetrics/gynecology, ICU, oncology outpatient, and emergency department
  • Utilize EPIC system proficiently for medication order processing and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensure as a Pharmacist required
  • Experience working in a hospital pharmacy environment, especially with inpatient and outpatient medication preparation and administration
  • Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and patient safety
