Location: Lewisville, TX 75067
Pay: $18$20/hr. DOE
Position: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: 5-day workweek, including weekends
Primary Shift: 8:00 AM5:00 PM
Alternate Shift: Some days may be 4:00 AM1:00 PMMajor Function

The Quality Technician performs Quality Assurance (QA) functions primarily on the production floor, ensuring products and processes meet established food safety and quality standards.

Primary Duties

  • Verify product quality meets minimum requirements, including product weight, temperature, appearance, label accuracy, and room temperature.

  • Monitor manufacturing and storage conditions.

  • Accurately complete daily reports and documentation in a timely manner.

  • Perform and document monitoring procedures and corrective actions as required by HACCP and Food Safety & Quality Plans.

  • Work and communicate professionally with Operations and USDA personnel.

  • Follow and enforce all Food Safety and Quality rules and regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation SOPs, and other prerequisite programs.

  • Place raw materials or finished products on hold when necessary.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant QA Manager.

Requirements

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability and willingness to work weekends.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods in cold working conditions, below 45F.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English is mandatory.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality standards.
