Practice Details:

\n
\n
• Interpreting Surgical and Cytology specimens daily
\n
• Grossing of specimens (histologists perform grossing of small specimens)
\n
• Low volume of frozen sections procedures
\n
• Immunohistochemistry/special stains in-house
\n
• Surgical: 30-40 cases/day divided between two Pathologists
\n
• Specimens include: biopsies, excision, and resections, head and neck area, GI tract, GU tract, Skin, Lung, Bone Marrow, Lymph Nodes, Bone and Soft Tissue
\n
• Gynecological Cytology: 10-15 cases/day (Thin Prep); Non-Gynecological Cytology: 5-8 cases/day
\n
• Full-time cytotechnologists employed to perform initial screening of cytology specimens
\n
• Two full-time transcriptionists
