Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OTR) to join a growing pediatric outpatient clinic. This is a full-time treating clinician role focused on providing high-quality, individualized occupational therapy services to children from birth through age 21. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and confident managing a pediatric caseload independently.

Schedule
  • Full-Time

  • Monday-Friday

  • Choose between:

    • 4-day workweek (10-hour shifts), or

    • 5-day workweek (8-hour shifts)

  • Clinic hours: 7:30 AM - 6:30 PM

  • No weekends or on-call responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat pediatric patients with developmental, neurological, sensory, and physical disabilities.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.

  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans accurately and timely.

  • Educate and collaborate with parents and caregivers to support carryover of therapy goals.

  • Maintain medical necessity documentation and EMR records.

  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members.

  • Manage an independent pediatric caseload while meeting productivity expectations.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative clinical environment.

Patient Population

Treat children from birth through age 21 with diagnoses including:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • ADHD

  • Developmental Delays

  • Sensory Processing Disorders

  • Fine Motor & Coordination Deficits

  • Self-Care Delays

  • Feeding Difficulties

  • Cerebral Palsy

  • Down Syndrome

  • Neurological Disorders

  • Muscle Weakness

  • Other developmental and medically complex conditions

Treatment sessions are 45 minutes and conducted in a 1:1 outpatient setting.

QualificationsRequired
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

  • Current Texas Occupational Therapist (OTR) license or eligibility to obtain prior to start

  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric Occupational Therapy experience (excluding fieldwork/clinical rotations)

  • Strong pediatric evaluation and treatment skills

  • Experience with treatment planning and documentation

  • Excellent communication and parent education skills

  • Ability to independently manage a pediatric caseload

  • Comfortable using EMR systems and other digital documentation tools

Preferred
  • Pediatric outpatient experience

  • Sensory Integration training

  • Feeding therapy experience

  • NDT or handwriting program experience

  • Bilingual (Spanish-English)

  • Experience with Medicaid and commercial insurance documentation
