Position Overview
\nA leading specialty subcontractor is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead growth and client development efforts across the Florida market. This is a high-visibility role focused on expanding market presence and securing large-scale commercial interior construction projects.
\nThis position is ideal for a proven construction industry sales professional with strong relationships among general contractors, architects, developers, and owner representatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving strategic growth and strengthening market position throughout Florida.
\nKey Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic business development plans to grow presence in the Texas commercial construction market
\n - \n
Identify, pursue, and secure new project opportunities with general contractors, developers, architects, and owner representatives
\n - \n
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at major construction firms and industry partners
\n - \n
Actively manage and grow an existing book of business while developing new client relationships
\n - \n
Track upcoming projects, bid opportunities, and market trends within the commercial construction pipeline
\n - \n
Collaborate closely with estimating, operations, and executive leadership teams to support project pursuit and successful execution
\n - \n
Represent the organization at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
\n - \n
Maintain consistent travel throughout Texas, including San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas
\n - \n
Provide regular pipeline updates, sales forecasts, and market intelligence to leadership
\n
Required Qualifications
\n- \n
- \n
Minimum 5+ years of business development or sales experience within the commercial construction industry
\n - \n
Proven success selling services for a subcontractor or general contractor, preferably within interior trades
\n - \n
Experience with Division 6–12 scopes, including architectural woodwork, doors, frames, millwork, drywall, glazing, ceilings, or related interior construction scopes
\n - \n
Established relationships with general contractors, architects, developers, and owner representatives in the Texas market
\n - \n
Demonstrated success securing and managing large, multi-million-dollar commercial construction projects
\n - \n
Bachelor’s degree required (Construction Management, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred)
\n - \n
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
\n - \n
Self-motivated, outgoing, and capable of working independently in a territory-based role
\n
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working for a specialty subcontractor focused on interior build-outs
\n - \n
Background in architectural interiors, millwork, glazing, drywall, ceilings, framing, or related trades
\n - \n
Experience supporting large commercial projects such as airports, healthcare facilities, or corporate campuses

Existing network within the Texas commercial construction market

Location & Travel Requirements

Monthly travel throughout Florida required
