Advanced Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery Fellowship

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group
Rialto, CA, US Full Time

Job Description

Job Description
Fellowship Opportunity in Facial Plastic Surgery & Advanced Rhinologic Surgery

Our organization is currently looking for a fellow to join the Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery for a one-year fellowship focused on Facial Plastic Surgery and Advanced Rhinologic Surgery. This position is situated in Southern California and offers a comprehensive, high-volume academic referral practice with an emphasis on Nasal Surgery. We highly encourage participation in mission electives.

The department is staffed by four full-time, fellowship-trained Rhinologic and Skull Base surgeons, along with three facial plastic surgeons. The fellowship will provide extensive experience in Nasal Surgery, including high-volume endoscopic sinus procedures, anterior skull base surgeries, and selected reconstructive rhinoplasty cases.

Additionally, training will encompass both nasal and facial trauma, which will be a significant aspect of the fellowship experience.

While the program offers broad training in both Facial Plastic Surgery and Advanced Rhinology, there is a strong emphasis on reconstructive cases over cosmetic and clinic-based procedures.

  • Assist faculty with surgical cases at our institution.
  • Select cases to ensure a well-rounded, fellow-directed experience.
  • Engage in intraoperative teaching for residents.
  • Participate in the Multidisciplinary Skull Base Tumor Board.
  • Utilize standardized curriculums for reading opportunities.
