Quick Facts Location: Spokane, WA (800 West 5th Avenue) Start Date: 08/11/2026 End Date/Duration: 10-14 days per month Shift: 7am – 5pm, with weekday night call from 5pm – 7am Hours/week: Approximately 40-56 hours Employment Type: Full-Time Contractor License/Certs: State medical license required; Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery preferred Experience: Prior Thoracic or Cardio-Thoracic Surgery experience required Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (pay package discussed upon application) Benefits Included: Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements where applicable What You’ll Do Provide thoracic and cardiothoracic surgical care, including minimally invasive mitral procedures and aortic valve conservation Support aortic root and remodeling/enlargement procedures Participate in weekday clinic activities and surgical procedures Cover scheduled weekend and weekday night call shifts as part of your rotation Collaborate with the medical team to ensure excellent patient outcomes Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain high standards of patient safety and care What You Need Required: Medical license valid for practice in Washington State Board Certification or Eligibility in Thoracic Surgery Experience with minimally invasive mitral procedures and aortic surgeries Ability to cover weekend and night call shifts Strong teamwork and communication skills Preferred: Prior experience working in a high-volume cardiothoracic surgical setting Flexibility for ongoing or long-term scheduling commitments About the Assignment This full-time provider role involves coverage at a leading facility in Spokane, WA, with a focus on thoracic and cardiac surgical procedures including minimally invasive techniques, valve repairs, and aortic support. The schedule combines clinic days, surgical coverage, and call responsibilities, providing a dynamic and rewarding work environment. The assignment offers flexible long-term options, with a preference for providers available two or more weeks each month.
