Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Technician to join a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated industrial maintenance technician who thrives in a heavy industrial environment with a desire to achieve meaningful goals while growing professionally in a company committed to safety and quality. Paper Mill experience is preferred. This is a Non-Smoking Facility.
Primary Responsibilities
Work safely at all times and maintain proper housekeeping standards, prioritizing personal and team safety
Contribute multi-craft skills to support and complete assigned maintenance work orders
Ability to work any shift, including a Dupont 12-hour rotating schedule
Actively support plant goals related to Safety, Housekeeping, Quality, Cost, and Production
Support maintenance operations during planned shutdowns and emergency repairs
Read and interpret prints, diagrams, schematics, specifications, manuals, and instructions to complete scheduled and emergency maintenance

Install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair:
Electrical power systems involving 480V, 2400V, and 13,800V AC systems
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Process instrumentation controls including valves, level, temperature, flow, pH, conductivity, and consistency transmitters
Conduit (½" to 3"), cable tray systems, wire pulling, panel and junction box installation, and instrument tubing (¼" to 1")
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for low- and medium-voltage equipment, including troubleshooting and configuration
PLC systems, including communication software and programming tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with high-voltage systems (up to 13.8kV), MCC, VFD, PLC, and DCS systems (Siemens & Allen Bradley)
Minimum 5 years of Journeyman Electrician experience in a heavy industrial environment
High School Diploma or GED

Experience in continuous-process industrial environments such as:
Paper Mills
Oil Refineries
Chemical Plants
Power Plants
Similar heavy industrial facilities

Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices, including:
Arc Flash
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Fall Protection
Hot Work
Pre-Job Hazard Analysis
Ability to perform light mechanical work to support multi-craft maintenance requirements
Knowledge of Preventive, Predictive, and Proactive Maintenance
Technical training in Electronics Technology preferred
Working Conditions
Non-climate-controlled environment with temperatures ranging from 30°F to 110°F
Frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions
Occasional exposure to heights, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and loud industrial environments
Ability to stand and walk for 8-12 hours per shift
Ability to stoop, kneel, crawl, squat, bend, and lift as required
