Job Description

Two full-time vacancies are open: one in a traditional K–5 elementary environment, and another in a specialized K–12 setting serving students with complex needs. Key Qualifications:
- Current North Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience with school-based services; preference given to candidates with backgrounds in elementary (K–5) or adaptive/specialized student populations
- Skilled at managing evaluations, developing IEP goals, and providing direct therapy
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Passion for fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy for students in K–5 general education or K–12 special education classrooms, depending on assignment
- Conduct evaluations, implement individualized treatment plans, and manage comprehensive IEP documentation
- Provide consultative support and resources to teachers, staff, and families
- Utilize adaptive and assistive communication (AAC) strategies as needed
- Participate actively in school-wide multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and school district requirements
