Work EnvironmentAt our Downey location, we foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration, prioritizing both patient safety and the ability of caregivers to voice their concerns. Our leadership promotes accessibility and maintains a flat organizational structure, which helps build trust among physicians and support staff. Innovation is a key focus; for instance, Downey was the first medical center in the region to perform same-day total joint surgeries. We also emphasize efficiency, continually improving workflows across the medical center and ancillary offices. Wellness—both physical and mental—is a priority, with regular opportunities for staff to socialize, dine out, and engage in physical activities together. With a high level of tertiary care, one of the largest NICUs in the region, and a dedicated OB and anesthesia team comprised entirely of physicians, Downey provides exceptional service to a diverse and high-risk patient population.
