The position serves as a lead role within the departments working in conjunction with the practice manager. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner licensed by a State regulatory board to refill medication and assist with treatment. Maintains professional accountability for provision during clinic appointments and patient phone calls. Coordinates the patient care/testing/procedures in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.\n

Department: Jackson Primary Care Clinic

\n

\n

Minimum Qualifications:

\n

Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.

\n

Licensure: Licensed as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the state of practice.

\n

\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n

Certification(s):

\n

NOTE: One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:

\n

• ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

\n

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

\n

• PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)

\n

• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules

\n

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

\n

• IV Certification within 1 year of hire.

\n

• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

\n

\n

Physical Requirements:

\n

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

\n

• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.

\n

• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

\n
