Medical Collections Specialist (Temporary) Location: Mesa, AZ Pay Rate: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour Job Type: Temporary Assignment A reputable healthcare organization in the Mesa area is partnering with our recruiting team to hire an experienced Medical Collections Specialist for a temporary opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with strong healthcare revenue cycle experience who enjoys resolving outstanding accounts, researching claim issues, and ensuring timely reimbursements. If you have a background in medical collections, accounts receivable, insurance follow-up, denial management, or healthcare billing, we would love to speak with you. Key Responsibilities

The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:
- Follow up on outstanding insurance and patient account balances.
- Investigate and resolve denied, rejected, underpaid, or unpaid claims.
- Contact insurance carriers to obtain claim status updates and reimbursement information.
- Review EOBs, payment postings, adjustments, and account documentation.
- Maintain accurate account notes and collection activity within billing systems.
- Work closely with billing, coding, and revenue cycle teams to expedite claim resolution.
- Identify trends impacting reimbursement and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
- 2+ years of experience in medical collections, healthcare accounts receivable, or insurance follow-up.
- Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance processes.
- Understanding of medical billing concepts, claim workflows, denials, and appeals.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
