Generalist Position Details

• Current hospitalist coverage is provided two weekdays each week and throughout the weekends.
• The hospital aims to establish full weekday night and weekend coverage for the generalist teams within the next six months.
• Call schedule is 1:7, with a backup weekend call of 1:6.

Typical Work Week

• One call day per week.
• Post-call day off if you are the primary overnight coverage; otherwise, if serving as backup, you will have an AM-only office schedule post-call.
• 2.5 to 3 office days each week.
• At least half a day dedicated to the operating room.
• We collaborate on all major GYN surgeries and offer robotic surgery options.

We prioritize family values and foster a team-oriented environment. Our team shares the OB volume, including a significant number of high-risk patients.

For current OBGYN residents, we provide a monthly stipend until the position's start date.

About Our Healthcare Facility

Our non-profit, physician-led hospital is the largest employer in the region, supported by a substantial private endowment that ensures financial stability. We serve approximately 300,000 residents across seven counties, including Greenwood, Abbeville, Laurens, Saluda, McCormick, Edgefield, and Newberry. Our medical group comprises 60 primary care physicians, 53 specialists, and 44 hospital-based physicians.
