Every day, professionals work underwater to inspect and maintain bridges and dams, repair ship hulls, support marine construction, respond to public-safety emergencies, and carry out missions supporting our national defense. At Ocean Eye, the equipment we build, service, test, and support helps those professionals do their jobs safely and effectively.

You do not need to be a commercial diver, and you do not need commercial-diving experience. Your role is on the technical side: learning how the equipment works and helping our team keep it ready for the people who depend on it.

Hands-on training with mechanical systems, tools, fittings, hoses, valves, air systems, and specialized equipment.

What the Work Can Look Like

One day you may be assisting with a diving helmet or communications system. Another day you might help assemble or pressure-test an air system, prepare a custom diving umbilical, troubleshoot equipment, receive and inspect incoming products, or prepare an order for shipment. You will also help maintain accurate digital records and documentation so the work we perform can be properly tracked.

What Success Looks Like

As you progress, we want to see you become increasingly comfortable using tools, understanding basic air and mechanical systems, following established procedures, documenting your work, recognizing when something does not look right, and contributing confidently to real customer and shop projects. You will not be expected to know everything when you arrive; we do expect you to be willing to learn.

Who We're Looking For

Mechanically inclined and comfortable learning to use hand and power tools.

Curious - you like figuring out how and why things work.

Dependable, organized, and able to follow instructions carefully.

Comfortable with basic computer tasks, email, documentation, and learning new software.

Able to communicate professionally and work well as part of a small team.

Able to safely lift and handle approximately 50 pounds when required.

Previous mechanical, shop, maintenance, automotive, trades, technical-school, or similar experience is helpful, but not required.

Attitude, reliability, curiosity, and willingness to learn matter to us.
