Full Stack Developer
Job Description
Full Stack Developer (AI-Accelerated)
\nSee attached...
\n— Internal Tools & Network Platforms
\nGLS | Engineering / Operations | Remote (US) | High -ownership role
\nRole Overview
\nGLS is hiring a Full Stack Developer to build and maintain the internal tools and operational
\nplatforms that run our network business: monitoring dashboards, automation utilities,
\nworkflow tooling, and systems that integrate with live infrastructure across a multi-
\ndatacenter environment. This role is for someone who can ship quickly without sacrificing
\ncorrectness — using modern AI developer tools (e.g., Claude Opus) and agent frameworks
\n(e.g., OpenClaw) to reduce cycle time, while still delivering reviewed, tested, production-
\nquality code. Important: We strongly support AI-assisted development. We do not want vibe
\ncoding (blindly accepting AI-generated diffs). We expect engineers to own outcomes through
\ndesign, review, testing, security hygiene, and maintainability.
\nWhat You'll Build
\nInternal operational tooling that engineers and NOC/SOC teams rely on daily. A custom
\nmonitoring/metrics platform spanning time-series data, dashboards, and alerting workflows.
\nIntegrations with live network/infrastructure APIs (devices, services, systems). Automation
\nthat reduces toil and speeds execution with auditability and guardrails.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nBackend Engineering (Go + Python)
\n• Design and implement backend services and REST APIs in Go and Python.
\n• Build durable internal services used for operational workflows and monitoring workloads.
\n• Create clean abstractions around infrastructure and device APIs.
\nFrontend Engineering (Angular)
\n• Build modern internal UIs in Angular for dashboards, tooling, and operational visibility.
\n• Deliver practical UX: fast, readable, and optimized for operators under pressure.
\nFull Stack Developer (AI-Accelerated) — Internal Tools & Network Platforms
\nData & Database Engineering (PostgreSQL + ClickHouse)
\n• Design schemas and write performant queries for PostgreSQL.
\n• Work with ClickHouse (or similar columnar/time-series systems) for large-scale metrics.
\n• Optimize query patterns and data lifecycle for operational analytics and dashboards.
\nInfrastructure Integration
\n• Build software that interfaces with network/infrastructure APIs and operational platforms.
\n• Work closely with systems/network engineers to translate real-world requirements into
\nreliable software.
\nAutomation & GitOps Workflows
\n• Build automation utilities using Python and Bash.
\n• Support Git-based workflows, CI/CD, and GitOps conventions where appropriate.
\nAI-Assisted Engineering Expectations
\nWe expect you to use AI tools to move faster — and we measure success by quality
\nshipped, not lines generated. You will: Use AI developer tools (e.g., Claude Opus) for
\nacceleration: scaffolding, refactors, test generation, troubleshooting, and documentation
\n— while keeping engineering ownership and rigor. Apply agent frameworks (preferably
\nOpenClaw) to automate repeatable workflows (e.g., repo tasks, environment actions,
\noperational runbooks), including safe execution models (tool policies / sandboxing /
\nhooks or auditing patterns). Build and maintain guardrails: code review discipline, test
\ncoverage, static analysis, and secure-by-default patterns. We do NOT want: Vibe coding:
\naccepting AI-generated code without understanding/reviewing/testing it.
\nRequired Skills & Qualifications
\nSkill Category Requirements
\nLanguages Strong proficiency in Go, Python, and
\nJavaScript/TypeScript.
\nFrontend Hands-on Angular experience building
\ninternal dashboards/tools.
\nDatabases Strong PostgreSQL experience; exposure to
\nClickHouse (or similar) preferred;
\nfamiliarity with caching (e.g., Redis).
\nFull Stack Developer (AI-Accelerated) — Internal Tools & Network Platforms
\nSkill Category Requirements
\nLinux & Delivery Comfortable in Linux environments;
\nexperience with Docker; basic
\nKubernetes/container familiarity; Git-based
\nworkflows.
\nAPI Engineering Proven experience building/consuming
\nREST APIs and integrating with
\nexternal/internal systems.
\nTooling Git, Docker, Ansible (or similar
\nconfiguration management).
\nCommunication Can work independently on loosely-defined
\nproblems and communicate clearly with
\ninfrastructure-focused teams.
\nNice to Have (Strong Signals)
\nThe following skills and experience are not required but demonstrate valuable depth and
\nwould accelerate your impact in this role:
\n• Practical OpenClaw experience: multi-agent setups, sandbox/tool allow/deny policies,
\nhooks, automation patterns
\n• GitOps tooling: ArgoCD, Fleet, Helm, operators
\n• Networking fundamentals: IP, VLANs, routing, firewall concepts
\n• Observability experience: metrics pipelines, time-series systems, log pipelines (e.g.,
\nElasticsearch)
\nWhat Success Looks Like (First 60–90 Days)
\n• Ship meaningful improvements to internal tooling and/or monitoring workflows.
\n• Deliver at least one end-to-end feature: UI + API + database + operational integration.
\n• Improve cycle time using AI tools with discipline: tests, review, measurable reliability
\ngains.
\n• Contribute reusable automation patterns that reduce toil for the team (agent or script-
\nbased).
\nFull Stack Developer (AI-Accelerated) — Internal Tools & Network Platforms
\n\nWhy GLS
\nYou'll build software that directly supports real operational outcomes. Real users, real
\nsystems, real impact. High ownership, low bureaucracy, strong technical collaboration with
\ninfrastructure experts.
\nHow to Apply
\nIf you're excited about building mission-critical internal tools with modern AI-assisted
\nworkflows while maintaining engineering rigor, we'd love to hear from you. Submit your
\nresume and a brief note about your experience with full-stack development, particularly
\nhighlighting any AI-accelerated development practices you've used. Include links to relevant
\nprojects or code samples if available.
