Software Engineer
Job Description
About Foundation Health
\nFoundation Health is an AI operating system for pharmacy - built by a team who lived the problem firsthand, not one that came to healthcare from the outside. Every day, prior authorizations delay prescriptions, pharmacists lose hours to paperwork instead of patients, and prescriptions slip through the cracks between health systems. We believe thoughtfully applied AI can finally change that - deep, integrated infrastructure that streamlines how care is coordinated, purpose-built for the complexity of specialty pharmacy.
\nWe're building toward a world where pharmacy teams spend their time on patients, not paperwork - where AI handles the routine so clinicians can focus on what only humans can do. Getting there takes the right people. We're looking for curious, ambitious folks who want to help solve healthcare's hardest problems - for our patients, our partners, and each other.
\nFixing Healthcare, One System at a Time
\nHealthcare runs on workflows built in the 90s. We're changing that — specifically in pharmacy, where we're building AI-powered infrastructure that plugs directly into EHR platforms, helping health systems actually function at scale. Not a chatbot. Not a wrapper. Real, deep infrastructure that changes how care gets delivered.
\nWe're a Series A company already in production with enterprise customers already - so, the PMF question is answered. Now we're building the team that scales it.
\nThe Role
\nThis is a mid-level role for someone who's past the hand-holding stage but still has plenty of runway to grow. You'll own features end-to-end, work on a modern stack (Node/TypeScript/GCP), and be surrounded by senior engineers worth learning from.
\nYou don't need to have worked in our exact stack. If you're a strong engineer who loves building things and picks up new tools quickly, that matters more to us than ticking a language checkbox.
\nWe're AI-native — Cursor, Claude — and we expect you to use these tools as a natural part of how you work, not as a novelty.
\nWhat we're looking for
\n- \n
- \n
A couple of years of professional experience building and shipping software in a production environment
\n - \n
Solid fundamentals — you understand what you're building and why it works
\n - \n
Someone who asks good questions, takes feedback well, and gets things done without needing constant direction
\n - \n
Already experimenting with AI tools in your workflow
\n - \n
Strong educational background in CS or similar
\n
\n
Why now, why us
\nYou'd be joining as one of the founding engineers in a new hub. That means real influence — on the product, the architecture, and the culture we build here. Meaningful equity, a seat at the table, and work that actually touches people's lives through the healthcare system.
