Field Technician - Training Provided!

Telecommunications Field Technician — Paid Training, $20/hr

MasTec Advanced Technologies, in partnership with Amazon, is hiring Field Service Technicians to support residential installations in Edison, NJ and surrounding areas (within 55 minutes of the target location).

This opportunity is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, staying active, and building valuable technical and customer service skills. Whether you’re starting fresh or expanding your experience, we’ll provide the training and resources you need to succeed.

Training & Pay

• Training Location: Edison, NJ
• Training Pay: $20/hour
• After Training: Transition to piece-rate pay with strong earning potential
  

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Drive a company-provided van to customer homes.
• Install a variety of home technologies — from satellite dishes to home security systems and smart home automation.
• Use communication, technical knowledge, problem-solving, and sales skills to deliver excellent customer service.
• Troubleshoot and resolve service or connectivity issues.
• Manage inventory, ensuring timely and accurate restocking of office supply closets and vending machines.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and functionality of all storage and dispensing areas.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to lift 60–80 lbs regularly
• Comfortable climbing ladders up to 36 feet
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Weekend availability
• Commitment to complete training in Edison, NJ
