We are currently inviting applications from interested OB/GYN professionals who are looking for a position in one of the rapidly expanding communities along the West Coast of Florida. Our organization, established in 1994, is recognized as a leading provider of both primary and specialty care in the area.
This role is based in the charming beach town of Venice, offering both new and seasoned physicians a fantastic chance to become part of a supportive and growing team, which includes three physician partners and a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. About SMH-Venice HospitalOpened in December 2021, SMH-Venice Hospital is situated on a sprawling 65-acre campus. The facility features a state-of-the-art, five-story hospital encompassing 365,000 square feet, which includes:
- 212 private patient suites
- A 61-bed emergency care center
- 8 surgical suites, including a daVinci XI Robot
The OB/GYN practice is conveniently located in the adjacent two-story, 60,000-square-foot Medical Office Building.
Our hospital is equipped with:
- 10 luxurious Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) rooms
- 2 C-Section operating rooms
- 4 triage beds
The Level I nursery is capable of accepting patients who are 35 weeks or older, with a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner available around the clock. Additionally, SMH-Sarasota, located 17 miles to the north, is the only facility in Sarasota County offering a Level III NICU.
Opportunity Highlights- 8 patient-facing sessions per week (equivalent to 4 clinic days) with scheduled operating room time.
- Average of 20 patients seen daily in the clinic.
- Provision of outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care.
- Performance of C-Sections and gynecologic surgeries/procedures.
- Equitable call coverage, allowing you to deliver and round on your own patients.
- An OB Hospitalist group providing 24/7 coverage for unassigned patients.
- 24/7 anesthesia coverage, supported by three OB Fellowship-Trained Anesthesiologists.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
- Completion of a certified OB/GYN residency program.
- Active or eligible for a Florida medical license.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible status.
