A small team in the Auburn, WA area is partnering with LHH to identify a temporary Senior Accountant for their organization. This position will be responsible for all the accounting tasks in the department. This person will need to have at least 10 years of accounting experience and be comfortable working independently. This role is a hybrid position. Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full cycle accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain and reconcile all balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee cash management activities, including forecasting, bank reconciliations, and monitoring liquidity.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, tax regulations, and internal controls.
  • Prepare and file various tax returns, business registrations, and regulatory reports as required.
  • Develop and improve accounting processes, procedures, and controls to support operational efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other financial partners.
  • Partner with leadership to provide financial analysis, budgeting support, forecasting, and strategic recommendations for business decisions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and financial reporting responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, month-end close processes, and financial statement preparation.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple accounting functions, prioritize competing deadlines, and operate effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
