Job Description
The Electro-Mechanical Tech 4 is responsible for the daily troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) at the Dallas, TX site. This role serves as a senior-level technician, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members while supporting all Dematic-installed equipment.
Schedule:
Regular shift: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required
Training Period:
First 2 months: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
Following training, transition to the regular shift schedule

The base pay range for this role is estimated at $32.50 to $43.95 per hour as of the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will Do in This Role:
- Perform repair, maintenance, and cleaning of AGVs, including vehicle calibration, configuration of replacement components, and lubrication.
- Execute routine preventive maintenance tasks and testing to ensure AGVs meet performance and safety specifications.
- Conduct hydraulic repairs and troubleshooting using hydraulic schematics.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs (5V-480V) using electrical schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Troubleshoot industrial communication networks and associated devices.
- Diagnose complex AGV issues and determine appropriate resources and actions for resolution.
- Respond to operational support calls, assisting operators with advanced AGV issues and providing training as needed.
- Proactively identify and resolve recurring system issues using reporting tools as part of continuous improvement efforts.
- Accurately document daily activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including labor hours, repair details, and parts usage.
- Maintain and manage spare parts inventory using an inventory management system.
What We Are Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree, skilled trade certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Demonstrated senior-level technical expertise in a relevant field.
- Proven experience performing the responsibilities and tasks outlined above.
- Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to communicate professionally via email and in person with customer leadership, Dematic leadership, and technicians.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of frequent bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching (both below the waist and overhead).
- Ability to push and pull wheeled equipment loaded up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to safely climb ladders and access elevated areas without limitation.
- Comfortable working in various conditions, including confined spaces, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, vibration, standing for extended periods on concrete surfaces, and wet or uneven environments.
