POSITION SUMMARY
\nThe Lead Obstetrician/Gynecologist provides clinical leadership and oversight for women’s health services, including obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive health care. This role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based, and culturally responsive care while supporting clinical operations, provider performance, and program growth.

\nClinical Leadership & Oversight
\n- \n
- Provide clinical leadership for OB/GYN services across all sites. \n
- Establish, implement, and monitor clinical protocols and best practices for obstetric and gynecologic care. \n
- Serve as a clinical resource. mentor and supervisor of OB/GYN providers and support staff. \n
- Lead peer review, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives within women’s health services. \n
Direct Patient Care
\n- \n
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal, postpartum, family planning, and gynecologic services. \n
- Perform routine and high-risk OB/GYN procedures within the scope of practice. \n
- Participate in on-call coverage and hospital privileges as required. \n
- Ensure continuity of care and appropriate referrals to specialty and ancillary services. \n
Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
\n- \n
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including DOH, HRSA, and hospital-affiliated requirements. \n
- Support risk management activities, including incident review, documentation standards, and patient safety initiatives. \n
- Participate in audits, chart reviews, and accreditation-readiness efforts. \n
Program Development & Operations

- Collaborate with executive and operational leadership to improve access, patient flow, and service delivery. \n
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of OB/GYN providers. \n
- Contribute to strategic planning for women’s health services, including service expansion and integration with primary care and behavioral health. \n
- Monitor clinical productivity, outcomes, and patient satisfaction metrics. \n
Collaboration & Community Engagement

- Work closely with nursing leadership, care coordination, behavioral health, and social services to support integrated, whole-person care. \n
- Represent OB/GYN services in internal committees and external partnerships. \n
- Support community outreach and patient education initiatives related to women’s health. \n
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
\n- \n
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. \n
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. \n
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in New York State. \n
- Active DEA registration. \n
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical OB/GYN experience, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience. \n
- Hospital admitting privileges or ability to obtain them. \n
- Clinical leadership and mentorship. \n
- Women’s health and obstetric care excellence. \n
- Quality improvement & patient safety. \n
- Interdisciplinary collaboration, cultural humility, and trauma-informed care. \n
- Data-driven decision making. \n
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES
\n- \n
- Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), community health center, or safety-net setting. \n
- Experience working with diverse, underserved, or high-risk populations. \n
- Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) preferred. \n
- Experience with quality improvement, clinical protocol development, or medical staff leadership. \n
Salary: $295,000 - $303,000 annually
