Job Description
A 50-bed hospital in Bayfield, WI is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to fulfill a Travel Pharmacist role. This opportunity offers a chance to provide critical pharmaceutical care in a dynamic hospital setting starting ASAP, with an assignment duration of 13 weeks or longer.
Schedule:
- 12-hour day shifts
- 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
Key Responsibilities:
- Review medication orders to ensure appropriate drug therapy, dose, dosage form, regimen, and identify potential drug interactions or therapeutic duplications
- Provide pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing expertise
- Deliver clinical pharmacy services, including medication reconciliation and discharge medication education to improve patient outcomes
- Oversee pharmaceutical compounding with adherence to USP regulatory and compliance guidelines, particularly USP 797 and USP 800 standards
- Utilize EPIC pharmacy information system for clinical processes and documentation
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active WI pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain a WI Temporary license
- Minimum of 1 year hospital pharmacy experience
- Comfortable working independently in a hospital environment
- Knowledgeable about USP compounding standards and experience with EPIC preferred
