Position Overview

Salary Range:
The compensation for this role falls between $280,000 and $408,000. The established salary scales determine the minimum pay based on rank and/or step at the time of appointment. This position is part of the health sciences compensation plan, which allows for the possibility of additional earnings.

Position Description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking applications for a faculty role in the Health Sciences Clinical Series (non-tenure track) at the Assistant Professor level or higher, depending on qualifications. This position is situated within the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology and focuses on delivering outstanding clinical and surgical care to a diverse patient base. The division offers comprehensive Women's Reproductive Health Care, including low-risk obstetrics, outpatient gynecology, and benign gynecologic surgery, while also supervising residents and medical students at the only academic medical institution in Orange County, California.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a full range of obstetrical and gynecological care within the faculty practice at UCI, including inpatient GYN care.
  • Supervising resident continuity clinics at UCI's Federally Qualified Health Centers.
  • Teaching and mentoring trainees at various levels.
  • Engaging in scholarly activities and maintaining a private patient practice.
  • Educating medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an MD or equivalent degree, hold a California medical license and Drug Enforcement Agency certificate by the start date, and be eligible for or certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
