Compensation: $47.67 - $56.74 per hour

Job Overview

The CT Technologist is responsible for delivering patient services through the use of diagnostic CT scanning equipment. This role requires proficiency in producing high-quality images that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Additionally, the technologist must provide excellent care by exercising sound judgment and discretion.

Qualifications
  • Required:
    • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
    • New Jersey Radiology license
    • ARRT Certification
    • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
    • Prior experience in CT imaging
  • Preferred:
    • CT Certification
Scheduling Requirements
  • Evening Shift: 3 PM - 11:30 PM
  • Work Days: Tuesday to Friday
Essential Functions
  • Assist radiologists with specialized examinations
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using RIS and PACS systems
  • Exercise professional judgment and discretion during imaging procedures
  • Ensure cleanliness in examination rooms and work areas
  • Maintain CR cassettes and report any needing repair
  • Keep stock levels adequate in all procedure rooms
  • Conduct daily calibration and quality assurance checks as required
  • Report equipment issues to the supervisor and submit LT work orders as necessary
  • Utilize RadCode for billing related to specific interventional procedures
  • Apply radiation protection principles for both self and patients during examinations
  • Use appropriate positioning and technical factors to ensure diagnostic quality images
