Travel Hospital Pharmacist - Madison, WI

An opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist to join a dynamic hospital setting focused on delivering excellent inpatient and outpatient pharmaceutical care. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in hospital pharmacy operations and the ability to manage diverse responsibilities efficiently.

Location:

• Medford, WI
• 75-bed hospital

Schedule:

• Primarily 10-hour day shifts
• Occasional 8-hour weekend shifts as part of weekend rotation

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations in a central inpatient pharmacy, including verifying EPIC medication orders and reviewing technician work to ensure accuracy and safety
• Respond promptly to pharmacist phone inquiries, maintaining clear communication with medical staff
• Prepare and provide inpatient and outpatient IV medications as well as inpatient unit dose medications and outpatient chemotherapy treatments
• Support medication distribution for various departments such as Inpatient Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, ED, and both inpatient and outpatient oncology and surgery units
• Maintain high standards of patient care in a hospital with an inpatient census typically ranging from 30-40 patients

Qualifications:

• Valid pharmacist licensure with hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage concurrent responsibilities
• Experience in preparation and administration of chemotherapy a plus
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail essential
