Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

This is a high-ownership, hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer position at a fast-growing, AI-native B2B SaaS company in the consumer intelligence space — think competitors to Meltwater, NielsenIQ, and Qualtrics. You'll own the cloud infrastructure that enterprise-scale customers rely on for critical data and decision-making. Working closely with backend and ML engineers, you'll be the person who makes GitOps, infrastructure as code, and true production reliability a reality for the entire engineering organization.

The team is small (under 50 people) and technically ambitious, with engineers from backgrounds including Microsoft, IBM, and other high-caliber technology organizations. You'll have a direct, outsized impact on how the platform is built and scaled.

What You'll Do

  Architect and build secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/Terragrunt) on AWS

  Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines; convert manual processes into automated, repeatable workflows

\n

  Own production reliability — set up observability stacks, define SLI/SLOs, and lead incident response

\n
• \n

  Implement and champion GitOps workflows for all infrastructure deployments

\n
• \n

  Build compliance-ready infrastructure (SOC 2, GDPR) with IAM best practices and secrets management

\n
• \n

  Optimize cloud costs while maintaining performance and reliability at scale

\n
• \n

  Create developer tooling and documentation that accelerates engineering workflows across the team

\n
• \n

  Mentor team members on DevOps best practices and guide infrastructure strategy

\n

What We're Looking For

Required

\n
• \n

  5+ years in a senior DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering role with end-to-end infrastructure ownership

\n
• \n

  Deep expertise with Kubernetes — EKS experience strongly preferred

\n
• \n

  Broad experience across multiple infrastructure domains: networking, security, monitoring, IaC — not just CI/CD

\n
• \n

  Proven track record building and managing AWS infrastructure at scale

\n
• \n

  Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

\n
• \n

  Recent, active hands-on work in an infrastructure engineering role

\n

Nice to Have

• \n

  Deep hands-on expertise with Terraform and Terragrunt

\n
• \n

  Experience building and managing infrastructure for B2B SaaS products

\n
• \n

  Familiarity with Docker, Python, Bash scripting, and Jenkins

  Background supporting AI/ML workloads or data-intensive platforms

  Salary: $160,000 – $200,000 USD annually, depending on experience

Location

This is an on-site role based in New York, NY. Candidates should be local to or willing to relocate to the New York City area.
