Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare tax projections, tax workpapers, and tax returns, including corporate, partnership, fiduciary, estate, and individual tax returns.

  • Prepare financial statements and compilations.

  • Handle IRS audits and respond to tax notices.

  • Provide tax consulting, planning, and compliance services to clients.

  • Manage client relationships and oversee the tax return process, including identifying and resolving tax issues.

  • Conduct tax research to resolve complex tax matters.

  • Coordinate with firm leadership to ensure timely project completion and effective communication.

  • Stay current on new tax regulations, industry developments, and business trends that may impact clients.

  • Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

  • Master's degree in Taxation preferred.

  • CPA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive public accounting experience.

  • Strong technical tax knowledge and expertise.

  • Experience with tax and accounting software such as CCH Axcess, CCH IntelliConnect, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
