Position Overview

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join the new PACU team in the Bliss Building! Be part of the development and growth of a brand-new 10-bay PACU unit that will deliver 24/7 post-operative care to diverse patient populations undergoing various surgical and interventional procedures.

The PACU RN will be responsible for recovering patients from general and regional anesthesia, as well as IV and conscious sedation, requiring acute and ICU-level care.

This role demands teamwork, independence, effective communication, and critical thinking skills. Collaboration, innovation, flexibility, and adaptability are essential as we work alongside various disciplines to establish and enhance interdepartmental workflows and relationships.

Qualifications

• Active RN License in Connecticut
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
• Experience in PACU and/or ICU is preferred
• Training program is available and required for RNs with step-down and Emergency Department experience
