\n \nHillcrest Hospital’s 3 West Tower General Surgery/GYN Oncology Surgery Unit is known for their outstanding communication skills, caregiver engagement, community service and top-quality patient care. This unit cares for adult and geriatric patients undergoing general, breast, gynecology, pancreatic/liver, and urology surgeries.
\n \nThis is a PRN role. A caregiver in this position will work 48hrs within a 6-week schedule. The varying hours can be between 7:00am and 7:30pm or 7:00pm and 7:30am.
\n \nA caregiver who excels in this role will:
\n- \n
- Provide direct nursing care. \n
- \n
- Implement and monitor patient care plans. \n
- \n
- Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions. \n
- \n
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. \n
- \n
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. \n
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
\n- \n
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. \n
- \n
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). \n
- \n
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. \n
- \n
- External applicants: two years of recent related nursing experience. \n
- \n
- Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience, but post orientation/90-day probationary period, could be considered with the Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval. \n
- \n
- Will consider military RN experience. \n
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
\n- \n
- Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN). \n
Physical Requirements:
\n- \n
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. \n
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. \n
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. \n
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. \n
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. \n
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. \n
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. \n
Personal Protective Equipment:

Pay Range
\n \nMinimum hourly: $43.00
\n \nMaximum hourly: $43.00
