Location: Pittsburg, CA 94565 / Northern California
Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Setting: School-Based
Schedule: Full-Time
School Year: 2026–2027

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, school-based opportunity in the Pittsburg, California area. This is a great opportunity for an OT who enjoys working with children and collaborating with educational teams to help students increase their independence and successfully participate in the school environment.

Responsibilities
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students.
Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students' functional needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP-related goals.
Support students with fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-care, handwriting, and functional school participation skills.
Monitor student progress, maintain appropriate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, special education staff, SLPs, PTs, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
Current California Occupational Therapist license through the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
NBCOT certification/eligibility, as applicable.
Ability to complete required background checks/fingerprinting for school employment.
Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Pediatric or school-based OT experience preferred, but qualified candidates with transferable pediatric experience are encouraged to apply.

California requires OT practitioners to be appropriately licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy. For a standard OT working in California public schools, a separate CTC school-services credential is not currently required simply to practice as the school OT.
