Pay Range: $47.85 - $71.72 per hour

Position OverviewWe are in search of a committed Registered Nurse to join our Level 1 Trauma Center's Main Operating Room at the New Brunswick campus. The OR Nurse will deliver exceptional patient care within the surgical environment, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive individual who excels in a dynamic setting and is focused on enhancing surgical outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards as outlined by the ANA code of ethics.
- Maintain safety in practice and apply evidence-based principles.
- Report safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
- Understand the specific needs of the patient population served.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members while collaborating with other care providers.
- Set and evaluate priorities through measurable interventions aimed at improvement.
- Utilize the nursing process to create individualized care plans addressing specific patient needs.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Nursing Diploma.
- At least one year of experience as an OR RN or a recent graduate of a perioperative 101 program.
- Proficient in computer skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) must be completed within five years of hire.
- Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey.
- Night shift, 40 hours per week, from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
- Availability for weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as assigned.
- This is a full-time position.
