Position: PSPS Product Manager
Location: Hybrid – Oakland / San Ramon / Dublin area
Pay Rate: $80/hr
Duration: Through February 28, 2027
Schedule: Hybrid, typically 2–3 days per week onsite as needed


This role will support PG&E's Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) products and the implementation of the PSPS/ADMS module. The Product Manager will work closely with Distribution Engineering, IT, PSPS Product Managers, PMO, and other stakeholders to enhance products, define requirements, prioritize features, and support testing and implementation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of PSPS scoping products, business processes, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Contribute to the product roadmap and product backlog.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define business and technology outcomes.
  • Support business process improvements and product prioritization.
  • Create detailed feature requirements and documentation for prioritized features.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT regarding feature requirements.
  • Facilitate and support UAT and end-to-end business testing.
  • Support pre-FSE, pre-season, and in-season testing activities.
  • Participate in product demonstrations and support training initiatives.
  • Provide product support during EOC/PSPS events when issues arise.
  • Collaborate across a matrixed organization as the subject-matter and content expert for the assigned product line.
  • Work closely with engineering, IT, PMO, and business stakeholders to drive product enhancements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant Product Management experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience working within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Strong product management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration abilities.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with product roadmaps, backlogs, requirements, and UAT.


Preferred:

  • Utility or energy industry experience.
  • Energy efficiency experience.
  • Experience supporting commercial or industrial customers.
  • Master's degree in Business or Marketing.
