Compensation: $56.66 - $70.12 per hour
Pay Transparency: The stated hourly wage range reflects the expected compensation for this role in New Jersey. The final salary offered will be influenced by various factors, including the candidate's education, skills, and relevant experience.

Job OverviewThis role involves supporting the nuclear physician in executing specialized imaging procedures.
Qualifications-
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Current New Jersey State license is mandatory.
- Certification from ARRT and/or NMTCB.
- BLS certification is required.

Preferred:
- At least two years of experience as a staff technologist in a hospital setting.
- NMTCB Fusion Certification or ARRT R, CT certification is preferred.
- Comply with standards set by the hospital and relevant state and federal regulatory bodies.
- Complete special assignments from the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Assist the nuclear physician in carrying out specialized imaging procedures.
- Ensure all tests are conducted accurately and that results are valid before patient discharge.
- Calibrate the dose calibrator and perform quality control on gamma cameras according to departmental protocols, promptly reporting any issues to the lead technologist.
- Clearly explain procedures to patients, including expected wait times, while ensuring their comfort during the process. Utilize prescribed technical parameters to obtain optimal images.
- Verify patient identities (both inpatient and outpatient) in accordance with hospital standard operating procedures prior to initiating any procedures.
- Conduct all hot lab activities, including the receipt, use, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals, strictly adhering to vendor, departmental, and regulatory guidelines.
