Job Description
A travel opportunity is available for a pharmacist to provide expert clinical services at a 50-bed hospital in Washburn, Wisconsin. This role offers a dynamic environment focused on patient-centered pharmaceutical care, ideal for a pharmacist with hospital experience ready to make a meaningful impact.
Schedule:
- 12-hour day shifts
- 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
- Immediate start available
- Duration: 13 weeks+
Key Responsibilities:
- Review medication orders for appropriate drug therapy, dosing, dosage form, regimen, therapeutic duplication, and potential drug interactions
- Provide pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing expertise
- Participate in comprehensive pharmaceutical care services, including medication reconciliation and discharge medication education
- Oversee pharmaceutical compounding with strict adherence to USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines
- Utilize EPIC for medication management and patient documentation
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain a temporary Wisconsin license
- Minimum of 1 year hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and clinical protocols
- Familiarity with USP regulatory standards and compliance
- Proficient in electronic medical record systems, preferably EPIC
