\n This is an inpatient?focused Neurology APP role based at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. The APP will work alongside neurohospitalists, general neurologists, and multidisciplinary hospital teams to deliver high?quality, timely neurologic care. The position is designed to strengthen inpatient consult coverage, support stroke and general neurology services, and improve access across the system by optimizing APP deployment.\n

\n Position Responsibilities\n

\n The Inpatient Neurology APP participates in the evaluation, management, and coordination of care for hospitalized adult neurology patients. Responsibilities include daily inpatient rounding, new consult evaluations, coordination of diagnostic testing and imaging, treatment and care planning, and discharge planning in collaboration with attending neurologists, hospitalists, nursing, therapy, and care management teams.\n

\n The APP performs comprehensive neurologic assessments, documents care in the electronic medical record, educates patients and families, and contributes to quality and safety initiatives. Procedural responsibilities may include lumbar puncture and other neurology?related procedures consistent with training, experience, credentialing, and privileging at Robert Packer Hospital.\n

\n Patient Population & Clinical Scope\n

\n Adult inpatient neurology patients at a tertiary care hospital, including but not limited to:\n
\n
\n - Acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke
\n - Seizure disorders and epilepsy
\n - Encephalopathy and altered mental status
\n - Migraine and headache disorders
\n - Neuromuscular and general neurologic conditions
\n
\n
\n The role is primarily consult?based and inpatient, with no routine outpatient clinic sessions.\n
\n

\n
\n Schedule & Coverage Model\n
\n
\n \n
\n
\n Inpatient hospital?based schedule with weekday coverage and shared weekend or holiday rotation based on service needs. No overnight call unless defined by the Neurology coverage model at Robert Packer Hospital.\n

\n
\n Candidate Requirements\n
\n
\n \n
\n
\n - Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care NP strongly preferred) or Physician Assistant
\n - Eligible for Pennsylvania licensure and national certification
\n - Inpatient neurology, neurohospitalist, critical care, or hospital medicine experience strongly preferred
\n - New graduates with strong inpatient or neuro?focused training will be considered
\n - Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a collaborative, team?based approach to care
