Associate Attorney
Job Description
Downtown medical malpractice litigation defense firm currently seeking an Attorney admitted in New York and/or New Jersey, with up to 2 years of medical malpractice litigation defense experience including depositions and discovery, motion practice, records review, and trial prep. Must be proficient in online research, electronic billing codes, medical records review, and have excellent writing skills. Admission in both New York and New Jersey is a plus. For consideration, candidates should include a cover letter with current resume, and will be asked to provide a writing sample, professional references, and their Certificate of Good Standing. Compensation will be based on medical malpractice defense experience, references, and writing proficiency.
While we seek a junior attorney, we will consider more experienced candidates at a higher salary range.

Responsibilities
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on medical malpractice cases.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions, with a focus on clarity and precision.
Review and interpret medical records to support case arguments.
Engage in negotiations and settlement discussions with opposing parties.
Prepare for and participate in litigation proceedings, including depositions and court appearances.
Collaborate with clients and legal staff to ensure effective case management.
Satisfy firm billing requirements of 2000 years per year
