Physician - Psychiatrist
Job Description
Our organization is currently looking for a full-time Physician - Psychiatrist to join our team in Fort Smith, AR. The ideal applicant should be Board Eligible or Certified in Psychiatry.
We are dedicated to delivering exceptional medical care while serving and honoring the brave individuals who have served in the military.
Applicants must hold an MD or DO from an accredited institution, have completed residency training that qualifies them for board eligibility or certification, and possess an active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state.
Key Features of This Position:Starting base salary range: $275,000 - $300,000
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, with potential for nights, weekends, and on-call duties. Specific scheduling details will be discussed during the interview process.
Responsibilities include assessing and managing medication for veterans facing various mental health challenges, such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, substance abuse issues, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and other related conditions.
Provide education to hospital staff regarding the psychiatric needs of patients, including handling procedures and expectations.
Engage with the families of patients receiving psychiatric treatment.
