ACADEMIC PEDIATRIC UROLOGY SURGEON - Assistant/Associate Professor
Job Description
The Department of Urology at our organization is in search of a Pediatric Urology Surgeon who is either board-certified or board-eligible. This full-time faculty role is available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, contingent upon the candidate's experience and academic credentials. The position offers eligibility for both tenure and non-tenure tracks.
Key Responsibilities:- Report directly to the Chair of Urology.
- Contribute to the growth and enhancement of an academic Urology program in Illinois.
- Obtain privileges at Springfield Memorial Hospital and HSHS St. John's Hospital.
- Maintain an active medical practice.
- Educate medical students and residents.
- Participate in clinical and/or basic science research initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills Required:- Board-eligible or board-certified in the United States.
- Eligibility for an Illinois medical license.
- Successful completion of a Urology residency and a Pediatric Urology fellowship.
- Awareness and sensitivity to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.

The anticipated annual salary range for this role is between $250,000 and $275,000, representing the academic base salary funded by the University. The final salary will be determined based on market data, internal salary equity, candidate qualifications, and budget considerations. Additional clinical compensation will be provided through a separate member practice agreement. This position is security-sensitive and requires pre-employment background checks.
