Job Overview

We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to join the new PACU team in the Bliss Building! Become part of our efforts to develop and expand a brand-new 10-bay PACU unit that will deliver 24/7 post-operative care to a diverse range of surgical and interventional patients.

The PACU RN will be responsible for the recovery of patients from general and regional anesthesia, as well as IV and conscious sedation, requiring acute and ICU-level care.

This role demands teamwork, independence, effective communication, and critical thinking skills. Additionally, collaboration, innovation, flexibility, and adaptability are essential as we work alongside various disciplines to establish and enhance interdepartmental workflows and relationships.

Qualifications

• Active RN License in Connecticut
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Preferred experience in PACU and/or ICU
• Training program available and mandatory for RNs with step-down and Emergency Department experience
