Department Overview

This position offers a flexible schedule and the chance to gain experience in the respiratory therapy role before graduating from the RT program.

Job Summary

The individual in this role will be responsible for delivering respiratory care modalities in which they have demonstrated clinical proficiency during their formal education. Care will be provided to all patient demographics, primarily in non-critical care settings. The candidate must be adept at addressing the growth and developmental needs of diverse client populations and possess the necessary skills to evaluate the respiratory status of patients across all age groups. Proficiency in all respiratory care equipment and therapies is essential, along with the ability to adapt to new technologies as advancements in respiratory care occur.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Respiratory Care program accredited by the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) is required.
• Verification of demonstrated competencies from the program is necessary.
• Completion of orientation and other required competency validations and in-services as mandated by the department and facility.
• A current state license for Respiratory Care Practitioner is required if applicable in the state of employment.
