Travel Hospital Pharmacist | Burnsville, Minnesota

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in Medford, WI, at a 75-bed hospital seeking an experienced professional to support its inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services. This role offers a dynamic environment with diverse clinical responsibilities and the chance to make a significant impact on patient care.

Schedule:

• Mainly 10-hour day shifts
• Occasional 8-hour weekend shifts during pharmacist rotation
• ASAP start for a 13+ week assignment

Responsibilities:

• Oversee multiple tasks within a central inpatient pharmacy, including verifying EPIC medication orders, reviewing pharmacy technician work, and responding to pharmacist inquiries
• Dispense and manage inpatient and outpatient intravenous medications, inpatient unit dose therapies, and outpatient chemotherapy treatments
• Support a patient population averaging an inpatient census of 30-40, covering areas such as inpatient and outpatient surgery, medical/surgical, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, and emergency department services
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records and pharmacy systems to ensure accuracy and compliance

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensure as a pharmacist with experience in hospital pharmacy practice
• Proficiency in handling a variety of medication types, including IVs and chemotherapy
• Familiarity with EPIC software for medication order verification
• Ability to work efficiently managing multiple concurrent responsibilities in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Adaptability to rotating shift schedules that include weekend coverage
