Maintenance Mechanic

Location: De Soto, KS

Pay Rate: $27.00 – $30.00 / hour

Shift: Day Shift (7 AM – 7 PM) | 2-2-3 Schedule (3-day weekends every other week!)

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose, dismantle, and fix production machinery, conveyors, drive mechanisms, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems using schematics.

  • Predictive Care: Perform oil/water testing, vibration analysis, and infrared scans to prevent downtime.

  • Welding & Ops: Complete welding repairs and safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.

  • Safety: Follow safe work practices and plant safety standards.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: 5+ years in mechanical maintenance (electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems).

  • Education & Tools: High School Diploma/GED and your own hand tool set.

  • Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.

  • Certifications: Ability to operate/certify on forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.

  • Schedule: Ability to work a 12-hour day shift (7 AM – 7 PM) and overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose, dismantle, and fix high-volume production machinery, conveyor systems, drive mechanisms, and hydraulic/pneumatic setups using schematics and manuals.

  • Predictive & Preventive Care: Perform water/oil testing, vibration analysis, infrared scans, and equipment logging to prevent downtime before it happens.

  • Fabrication & Welding: Complete essential welding tasks to repair and maintain facility equipment and machinery.

  • Equipment Operations: Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as needed.

  • Maintain Safety Standards: Follow all established safe work practices, protocols, and company guidelines.
