Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to lead pharmaceutical services at a 250-bed hospital in Salinas, CA. This interim travel position offers a 3 to 6-month assignment with an ASAP start. The role reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy and requires proven leadership skills to ensure efficient delivery of pharmaceutical care within a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee clinical, financial, administrative, and information systems operations within Pharmacy.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and control workflow to optimize department performance.
- Hire, train, and manage pharmacy staff to maintain high standards of service.
- Serve as a communication link between the Pharmacy Management team, physicians, and hospital personnel.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Utilize hospital and community resources effectively to meet operational needs.
- Perform duties of the Director of Pharmacy in their absence.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current California pharmacist license required.
- Extensive leadership experience in a hospital pharmacy environment within California.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, regulations, and healthcare systems.
- Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
