Join Our Team as an ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technician

We are seeking skilled ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technicians to become part of our dedicated team in Batesville, AR. This role involves conducting x-ray examinations while utilizing your understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as performing various Medical Assistant tasks.

Job Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing x-ray tests, including patient movement and body mechanics.
  • Operating diagnostic equipment and developing films.
  • Preparing examination rooms with the necessary tools and supplies.
Key Responsibilities

The following duties outline the expectations for this position, though additional tasks may be assigned:

  • Warmly welcoming patients as they arrive in the waiting area, exam room, or x-ray room.
  • Maintaining clear communication with patients regarding wait times and guiding them through the treatment process.
  • Addressing patient concerns and seeking assistance in emergency situations.
  • Conducting follow-up calls promptly.
  • Supporting front desk staff with patient check-in and check-out as needed.
  • Accurately recording patient vital signs, weight, and relevant medical history, including medications and allergies.
  • Assisting with patient transfers and procedures under the supervision of a provider.
  • Completing necessary documentation related to patient visits.
  • Performing radiology procedures efficiently for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
  • Implementing quality control measures to ensure high standards in examinations.
  • Preparing patients for radiologic procedures while adhering to clinical and regulatory safety protocols, including radiation protection techniques.
  • Ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and reporting any issues to the Manager or on-duty provider.
  • Taking initiative to enhance diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills through external educational resources.
  • Maintaining current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment.
Work Schedule

Full-time employees will work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, which includes 12-hour shifts on weekdays and every other weekend. PRN (per diem) staff will be scheduled as needed.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS Certification.
  • AR State X-Ray License.
  • ARRT Certification is preferred.
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
