The Division of Dermatology within the Department of Medicine at our organization is on the lookout for full-time clinician educators to join the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. We have openings at various academic ranks, including Instructor, Assistant, Associate, and full Professor, across our extensive network of campus and community practices focused on medical dermatology. Our practice locations span Downtown LA, West LA, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Calabasas, Westwood, Santa Monica, Burbank, Century City, Encino, Pasadena, Redondo Beach, Santa Clarita, Thousand Oaks, and Torrance. Position OverviewWe are in search of faculty members who are dedicated to establishing a long-term career in academic medical dermatology. These roles are designed for individuals aiming for ongoing academic involvement at our institution, rather than those seeking temporary positions in medical dermatology prior to entering ACGME fellowship training (such as Mohs surgery or dermatopathology fellowship).
Key Responsibilities- Provide a minimum of 32 hours per week of direct patient care.
- Supervise and mentor trainees.
- Contribute to academic activities, including teaching, research, and administrative tasks, for an additional 8 hours weekly.
Applicants must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree and be board certified by the American Board of Dermatology or eligible to take the board examination. A strong clinical background in medical dermatology is essential, along with graduation from an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency program.
